Design & Technology
Design & Technology is a hands-on subject that challenges children to think critically and solve problems both independently and collaboratively.
We inspire children to use their creativity and imagination to design and create products that address real-world challenges. They consider not only their own needs but also the needs, wants, and values of others. Whenever possible, we connect their learning to other subjects, including mathematics, science, engineering, computing, and art, reinforcing valuable cross-disciplinary skills.
Throughout the design and making process, children develop technical knowledge, assess and refine their ideas, and evaluate their own work. They also explore the impact of past and present design innovations, encouraging them to think critically about effectiveness and usability.
By fostering a spirit of innovation and risk-taking, we equip children with the skills and confidence to become creative problem-solver, ready to shape the world around them.
